Lego Land, Sea World & Disneyland Halloween

We went to Lego Land on the 27th October, where all the rides had big Lego decorations like this giraffe, we went on two roller coasters which were good fun and we went on a water ride where we all got wet. Half the park closed early for the Halloween special so we didn't get to go on all the rides.

We went to Sea World on the 28th of October and we all loved the Atlantis, the line up was really short when we first got there so we went on it two times in a row and then we went back later 2 more times, we all got very wet.

The whale show at Sea World was fantastic the whales are so big and perform tricks like the dolphins at Sea World in Australia, they also used there big tails to splash water onto the crowd, we were lucky we didn't get splashed.

We went Disneyland on the 29th for Mickeys Halloween Party and our whole group dressed up everyone looked really cool:

We got to trick or treat at Disneyland and we got so many lollies they will last our whole trip and we hope to go trick or treating tomorrow as well in Los Angeles. The Street Parade and fireworks at Disneyland were great.

San Diego Zoo

We picked up our Winnebaggo on Thursday and it is cool, it is weird driving on the other side of the road, we keep going to get in it on the wrong side, even the shop entry and exit doors are the opposite to ours. 

The freeways have at least 5 lanes of cars and are always busy with sheriff (police) cars everywhere and they are black and white. The yellow taxis here are also yellow not like the orange ones in Australia.

Yesterday we went to the San Diego Zoo, and had a great day. We were there for 7 hours and didn't get to see all of it.

We took the 40 minute Double Decker tour bus with an open roof around the park and it was worth waiting in line for 20 minutes as we got to see all the animals, our bus guide was funny making jokes and singing songs. The skyfari was scary going backwards but it was good to see the zoo from up high.

Elisha bought her big Panda teddy and Chloe collected 6 of the small toys getting an elephant, giraffe, panda, lion, zebra and a flamingo, the flamingos were bright pink they were so pretty and they have such long necks.

 

Traveling in a Winnebago

We are getting a Winnebago to travel around Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Yosemite, Death Valley and Las Vegas, that is a total of 1445.56 miles which is about 2325 kilometers. It sounds like a lot but it is about the same distance from Brisbane to Melbourne.

In our Winnebago we have 3 beds, 1 queen bed, 1 double that is on top of the driver’s seat and 1 bed that is the dining table that folds out into a double bed. We also have a bathroom with a hand basin, a toilet and a shower, of course. We are not going to use our toilet because dad doesn't want to clean the toilet! We have a kitchen and huge fridge which will keep Elisha happy!

The driver’s seat looks like a lounge chair with cushion seats, but get this in America the driver sits on the left side of the car and drives in the right lane.

The countdown begins

Hi everyone,

Wow! 24 days till we go to America, we're on the countdown.

We will be traveling with our mum and dad, along with our Granny, Grandad, Uncle Adam, and our good friends Jo, Mick & Nikki.

We will be visiting San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas and the best of all Disneyland!

We're going to Sea world,  Legoland, Safari Park, Universal Studios, we are going on a tour to see the Grand Canyon, and we are having a breakfast with Micky & Minnie with all their friends.

We will be gone between 24th of October through to 3rd of December. 

We'll keep you in touch with our adventures.
